They treat the whole place like one big unit and will float any nurse from any unit anywhere (except OB and ICU) up to 3x a shift. Wasn't so bad when I first started (did 9 months,) but when they dropped rates, things got bad. Travelers are routinely charge and there are usually only 2 RNs at night, taking 9 and 10 pts each.
