No one here has ever heard of the word assignments based on acuity! With that said you can expect 6 to 7 pts scattered throughout that damn unit. Stacy bisco is The nurse manager who will tell you exactly how she feels about travel nurses and won’t skip a beat to pause to see who is around. She doesn’t care. She will cancel you if you don’t like it

Friendly staff, worked together well. Only issues was when floated to other units sometimes the units would give worst assignments or not be very helpful. But overall good experience at this hospital.

This unit is full of travelers, so it's the blind leading the blind. You will be the first to float and be tripled. Its a 36 bed unit with one PCA. A transport team to CT is nonexistent. The mid-levels were cool. Uses EPIC emr. The average staff nurse is getting $30/hr and $300-350 every 4 hours of OT. Take that into consideration when making a contract.

I have been on this floor for almost a year. It is a very busy unit but you learn alot. Staff is wonderful. Doctors are very nice. Very clean facility. Managers are very nice once you get to know them. I have had no real issues from the facility. If it wasn't too far away from home I would work here.

No staff. 2+ months into this assignment. Supposed to start 5:1 staffing ratios 01/19, have seen assignments of 7-8 pts & 0 PCTS. Logging 6+ miles a shift on pedometer, seems like crisis level staffing almost every shift. Very helpful/ friendly staff though.

Since Good Sam closed, it’s been horrible with the increase in patients and the lack of nursing staff, support staff and not very friendly to travelers (including physicians looking down on you) even though the hospital is being run by travelers.
