ICU/IMC mix. No in house coverage on nights, intensivist was on call at home. Will often be 3:1 with 1 ICU and 2 lower level patients. Occasionally staffed the unit with 2 nurses and then said we couldn’t take a break because we needed 2 nurses on the unit at all times (one of the main house supervisors was a med/surg nurse and couldn’t cover breaks).
