“Floated” to obs every shift. Assigned up to 6 patients while staff has 3. Never once worked on the Neuro PCU I was hired for them they decided to close beds to limit traveler usage. My last 2 weeks I did not work a shift, every shift was cancelled but I was expected to call in by 5 am and be available “if needed” to come in with no call pay.

No techs, ceiling lifts in room were always broken, other nurses would be too busy to help when help is needed. PA's always sounded like you were waking them out of your sleep when you called them for any reason (esp on night shift). On a 30 bed unit only TWO rooms were negative pressure.... like what...COVID everywhere.. the RT's barely did anything..BIG NO

Very rundown, old unit with broken equipment that maintenance has a poor job of fixing. Lack of critical equipment like telemetry boxes and vital signs machines. 2-5 hr delay of delivered medications from pharmacy. Lack of support and teamwork from management, charge, and staff nurses.
