This unit is NOT a real PICU. They transfer all their sick patients out because sick patients are foreign to them. Census is always low and they cancel travelers less than halfway into their contract.

Frequent canceling. Felt like I had to beg and fight for every shift. Staff is friendly. Floated to many different units. Unit uses two separate systems to chart. Hospital is old and signs of age wear and tear can be seen everywhere. Post Partum unit is on 2 separate floors so babies security monitors are constantly turned off for transport in elevators.
