Although a ‘community’ hospital, they still get very sick patients as it is the only hospital on the island. However, they do ship patients, and children, to Honolulu if they can’t handle the case. It has been recently taken over by Kaiser but I personally didn’t ‘feel’ the transition as I wasn’t a full time perm staff there before that. I really enjoyed it!
