I refused to do bedside shift report in double rooms with family present due to HIPAA violations. But in reality they cancelled 3 RNs and 2 CNAs this week d/t low census for various fake reasons. They leave the remaining staff with a 1:7 ratio when the initial interview said it was a 1:6 max.
