Very traveler friendly, very nice staff, safe ratios (California). The hospital is old and it feels filthy. This is a safety net hospital, so the patient population is rough at times. A lot of psych on med/surg and homeless. You will see shootouts across the street at the bar. I never felt unsafe on hospital property though. Again, LOVE the staff here!

Tough ICU to work in. Sick patient population. Staff is a little hard to integrate with but as long as you work hard they are cool and helpful. Love the sick patients!

You will be tested on EKG and medication calculation. EKG you have to put all the measurements and name the rhythm, no multiple choice. You get 2 tries. You can use a calculator on the medication calculation test, you get 2 tries.
