They make assignments based on rooms not acuity. They do not follow AWHONN standards. I’ve been told “we put babies to distress.” I’ve been given assignments with both patients nearing delivery. I’ve been expect to remain in charge of an actively laboring patient on pitocin while doing a vaginal delivery & recovery. I can give more instances, but I wouldn’t
